A PC Engine graduation album from Hudson's school in Japan sold for ¥700,000.

Even among PC Engine not-for-sale software, this is an ultra-rare title. It is the Hudson Computer Designers School graduation album for Heisei 5 (1993). It is software you can play on a PC Engine, and what you play are the students' own works. I received mine through Hudson's fan club, but I have had sudden expenses, so I would like to pass it on to someone who is willing to buy it even at this price.

Hudson ran a school in Sapporo from 1991 to 1995. Each class was given a yearbook pressed on Super CD-ROM². This specific disc is for the class of 1993. According to a collector who owns the same edition, the disc contains the students' own work: Street Bomber, a fighting game built on Bomberman-style characters, a shooting game, and a gallery with photographs of the graduates.
A history of Hudson School discs
The first release contained a game that is essentially a walk around the school building in which the player talks to the staff and teachers, Bomberman's creator Shinichi Nakamoto among them. Joseph Redon of Japan's Game Preservation Society procured that copy, and John Szczepaniak later published an article about it for Hardcore Gaming 101. The last edition, covering the final two years of 1994 and 1995, was documented by the blogger eagle0wl. It contains a 40-page booklet, four student games, and an opening and a closing cinematic.
It is unknown how many were produced, and the contents of this specific disc are not publicly available. The school was renamed Future Bee in 1997 and converted to a TCG business in 1998.
Past sales
The listing went up on July 22, 2026 and sold seven days later at ¥700,000, about $4,280. The one earlier sale on record is the 1992 disc, which famicoms.net reported closing on Yahoo! Auctions in May 2017 at ¥507,000 after 57 bids. The buyer of this copy has not been identified.
