High Importance

Notifications that break through.

What is a High Importance notification?

A High Importance notification does not wait. It reaches you through silent mode and Do Not Disturb, and plays your High Importance sound. It acts as an alarm, repeating for a few minutes until you confirm it.

We recommend adding an AI check to ensure that only the listings you care about trigger a High Importance notification.

Guide

Turning on High Importance notifications

  1. Turn on phone notifications

Your phone has to be signed in to your account first. In the app, open the Phone notification channel with "Edit settings". On the web, switch the channel on inside a notification rule.

  2. Switch on High Importance

The setting sits under the channel, and applies to that channel's alerts.

  3. Grant Do Not Disturb access

On Android, GrailHound asks for Do Not Disturb access when you save. Without it these behave like regular notifications. The prompt only appears on your phone, so grant it there even if you set the rest up on the web.
