Does Mercari notify you of new listings?

Yes. Save a search and Mercari can notify you by push or email when new items match it.

Is it possible to make Mercari alerts faster?

No. There is no setting for it, on the website or in the app. The faster option is checking yourself: open your saved search and switch the sort from “Best match” to “Newest first”, so fresh listings are always on top.

Guide

Subscribe to Mercari alerts on the web.

A saved search is the only alerting Mercari offers.

  1. Search

Sign in to and search for the keyword you’re looking for on mercari.com and click “Save this search”, above the results on the right.

  2. Save

The button flips to “Search saved”. There is no channel choice at this point: push and email alerts are both enabled by default.

  3. Manage saved searches

The bookmark icon in the header opens your saved searches, on the Favorites page. Each search has a small menu with two options, “Pin” and “Remove”.

  4. Configure notification channels

Notification channels are configured on the account level, not individual searches. Go to Settings, then Notifications, and under “Buying” tick “New items for your saved searches” for push, email, or both.

Are Mercari alerts reliable?

For a casual watch, they’re fine. You save the search once and Mercari will occasionaly notify you.

This works well for casual searching, but rare or underpriced listing tends to sell before the alert lands.

FAQ

Frequently asked by fellow collectors.

01 Why aren't my Mercari saved-search notifications working?
Check your notification settings first: under Buying, “New items for your saved searches” has its own push and email switches.
02 How often does Mercari send saved-search alerts?
The alerts are sent out on an unknown schedule.
03 Does Mercari alert you about price drops?
Yes, separately from saved searches. Notification settings include price-drop alerts for items you’ve liked and items you’ve viewed.
04 What is GrailHound?
GrailHound is a marketplace alert tool for collectors and resellers. You set up trackers for keywords and we alert you when they show up on one of your marketplaces. Our goal is to make sure that you are the first to the listing.
05 Why would I use GrailHound versus searching directly?
Hidden gems surface when you least expect them, and no one can search every marketplace all day. GrailHound keeps a constant watch, so you save the time and still catch your grails.
06 How often do you search?
The free plan searches up to 3 marketplaces every 30 minutes. Paid plans go up to 10 marketplaces and can scan every 2 minutes.
07 How are alerts sent?
Email, push notifications from the GrailHound app, or notifications in your browser. There are also webhooks for more technical use cases.
08 Am I notified of every single new listing?
Yes, if you want to be. You can also filter: set a price range, include or exclude keywords, or write an AI prompt that checks each listing before the alert goes out.
09 Do you buy or bid for me?
No. GrailHound is a monitoring and alerting tool.
