The jersey went up on June 10, 2026 at a Buy It Now $800 and was gone 2 minutes and 16 seconds later to a savvy-buyer who understand what they were looking at.

The buyer had the jersey photo-matched to the one LeBron James wore at the 2022 NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland: its scuffs and stitching lined up against photos from the event. Chris Ivy, Heritage's director of sports auctions, and David Kohler, the president of SCP Auctions, told The Athletic it should bring at least $140,000, possibly $250,000.

Neither the buyer nor the seller has been named, and no resale had been reported as of late August 2026.

Why All-Star jerseys get mistaken for replicas

An NBA All-Star jersey worn in the game looks almost identical to the version sold in stores. The 2022 Cleveland game used Jordan Brand's grey design. Nothing on the front separates the store version, a couple hundred dollars new, from the one LeBron wore except tailoring details and the wear itself. A seller who finds one in a closet has no reason to assume it is anything special, which is how a game-worn jersey ends up titled like a replica.

Photo-matching is the game-worn market's standard of proof: stitch placement, fabric flaws and scuffs are unique to one physical jersey, and a match against event photography is what separates game-worn from game-issued. LeBron's jersey from the 2020 All-Star Game, the No. 2 he wore as a tribute to Gianna Bryant, brought $630,000 in a charity auction weeks after that game.
